Middle River consolidated with the Greenbush school district to create the Greenbush/Middle River (GMR) school district. The high school is located in Greenbush, the middle school in Middle River, and both locations have retained an elementary school. GMR is also paired with Badger, MN for sports to become the BGMR Gators.
